1. Tech & Companionship Visits for Seniors
We pairs youths with elderly residents at senior centers, assisted living facilities, and in their homes for regular visits that provide technology help and companionship, easing senior isolation while building patience and communication skills in youth.
2. “Adopt-a-Veteran” Letter & Care Package Program
We work with youth to write letters, create cards, and assemble care packages for veterans — either those in VA hospitals/nursing homes or currently serving. We do more visits around Veterans Day or Memorial Day where youth can hear veterans share their experiences directly, turning it into an oral history project as well.
3. Home Beautification & Modification Program
We help older adults, veterans, and individuals with disabilities live safely and comfortably in their own homes by pairing youth volunteers with community members who need help with home repairs, safety upgrades, and general upkeep — while giving youth hands-on skills and a sense of purpose through service.
4. Accessibility Awareness & Buddy Program
We team up with a local disability organization or group like Special Olympics to match young volunteers with people who have physical or intellectual disabilities, forming a “buddy” pair. These buddies spend time together doing everyday fun things — playing sports, making art, or going on outings.
“Lived experience” or “Journey speaker”
We believe some of the most powerful lessons come not from lectures, but from real stories told by real people. Through our Experiential Speaker Series, we bring youth face-to-face with individuals who have lived through hardship and come out the other side — formerly incarcerated individuals rebuilding their lives, people in recovery from addiction, and successful entrepreneurs who overcame significant obstacles to achieve their goals. Each speaker shares their personal journey: the choices that led them astray, the turning point that changed their path, and the resilience it took to rebuild. For youth, hearing these stories firsthand humanizes struggle and success alike, replacing judgment with understanding and fear with hope. Rather than telling young people what not to do, this program shows them what’s possible — that setbacks don’t have to define a person’s future, and that transformation is real and attainable. By connecting youth directly with these lived experiences, Pure Aid Inc. fosters empathy, critical thinking, and the belief that every person’s story, including their own, is still being written.
